Aizhan Kenzhina: “New Format Planned for Women’s League”

At the official presentation of the Kazakhstan Women’s Championship, competitions manager Aizhan Kenzhina outlined the key features of the upcoming season.

“The upcoming season will be one of the biggest and most exciting in the history of women’s football in Kazakhstan. A total of 19 teams will take part, with the league divided into two conferences: Conference A with nine teams and Conference B with ten.

Teams will play each other twice. The top two teams from each conference will then advance to the semi-finals and final to compete for the title.

The conference split was determined based on sporting merit. Our main goal is not only to determine a champion, but also to build a sustainable professional environment for the development and growth of talent,” said Aizhan Kenzhina.
