Kazakhstan Blind Football team claim historic victory

The international Blind Football tournament concluded in Seattle.

The tournament featured the national teams of the United States, Peru and Kazakhstan. In their opening match, the Kazakhstani side played out a goalless draw against hosts USA. In the decisive fixture, however, Kazakhstan produced an impressive performance against an experienced Peru side that regularly competes against some of South America’s strongest teams, securing a 1-0 victory. Bolat Zhanymkhan scored the match-winning goal.

As a result, the Kazakhstan Blind Football team claimed the first international trophy in its history.
