Sergey Malyy: "We Will Always Fight for Our Country Until the Final Whistle"
"Playing two away matches in a short period of time was not easy. There was a lot of travelling, a lot of flights and very little time for recovery. But we knew we would be facing strong opponents, so we were fully focused and prepared.
The most important thing is that our team has character. I think the home advantage played a role for the opposition, and Hungary are genuinely a very strong side. We still have areas where we need to improve, but these matches showed that we are capable of competing at this level. Yes, our opponents may have more quality and experience, but our character allows us to compete with any team.
The more top-level opponents we face in friendly matches, the better it is for our development. The only thing I would like to see is more referees from Asia officiating these games, as they are more familiar with our style of football. When European referees officiate matches involving European national teams, it is not always ideal for us.
We love Kazakhstan and we will always fight for our country until the very final whistle. We will never give anything away easily."
