UEFA Playmakers seminar kicks off in Astana to promote girls' football
Supported by the Kazakhstan Football Federation and organized by the Women's Football Department, the UEFA Playmakers seminar has officially started in Astana. The event is attended by coaches from the "Zhenis" Football Center, as well as physical education teachers from local schools and kindergartens.

The three-day training programme focuses on mastering a specialized methodology designed to spark interest in football among girls aged 5 to 10 and develop their athletic abilities. The course is conducted by Yulia Shiryaeva, assistant coach of the Kazakhstan women's national team.

During the first two days of the seminar, participants will focus on theoretical knowledge, discovering the core principles and coaching approaches of the project. They will then put their newly acquired skills into action during practical sessions.

The UEFA Playmakers programme is being implemented on the initiative of the KFF Women's Football Department to develop girls' football and boost grassroots participation. Moving forward, the federation plans to roll out similar seminars across other regions of the country.

Notably, UEFA Playmakers is a project tailored specifically for young girls who have never played football before. The main goal of the program is to provide a fun, safe, and engaging environment for girls to experience their first touch of the ball, increase physical activity, and integrate modern pedagogical methods into the training process.
