Kazakhstan to Face Republic of Ireland in FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 Qualifying Play-offs
Nyon, Switzerland hosted the draw for the European qualifying play-offs for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup, with Kazakhstan set to face the Republic of Ireland in the first round.

The tie will be played over two legs, with the first match scheduled for 9 October in Kazakhstan and the return leg in Ireland on 13 October.

A victory over the Republic of Ireland would see Kazakhstan advance to the second round of the play-offs, where they would face the winners of the tie between Belgium and Poland. The second-round matches will be played between 26 November and 5 December 2026.

Following the second round, the seven highest-ranked winners in the overall qualifying standings will secure direct qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The remaining second-round winner will progress to the inter-confederation play-off tournament, entering at the second stage in February 2027.
